Lush Bath Bombs
The weekends are for spa and self care days. Turn off your work brain for a few hours and just enjoy some time to yourself. This weekend, I used my first bath bomb!
When a co-worker/friend discovered that I've never tried Lush or bath bombs....she insisted on getting me one. After I got over the "kid-in-a-candy-store" feeling and looking at all the options, (read as: "smelling everything"...) I picked out the "Dragon Egg" bomb. I'm not a huge bath person, since I don't have a proper soaking tub, just a shower-tub combo. But even still...I was ready for a lovely spa experience. An experience with some Game of Throne undertones....(Mother of Dragons, anyone?)
The Dragon's Egg has this description online:
"Unleash some fire and bathe in a whirlpool of magnificently vibrant, sizzling color and a spectacular explosion of sights, sounds and scents. Inhale the refreshing citrusy scent of lemon and bergamot and watch as this bomb fizzes, crackles and ends with a glittery golden surprise. Drop one of these in the bath for a serious wake-up call on groggy mornings or before an evening out."
The bomb itself did smell SO GOOD and the promise of a "glittery golden surprise" was too good to pass up! *crosses fingers for my own set of baby dragons*
Just taking it out of the paper bag was a scent filled experience, no joke! I dropped it in the hot water and WOW!
It immediately started to fizz and spin and bob in the water. The whole bathroom filled with that promised bright and citrusy scent. I let it bounce around and fizz for a minute before I got in and the water was already feeling silky smooth.
While my tub is not designed to be a relaxing, lounging spa...it was a really nice soak! The water turned into a golden-orange tone, not the glitter I was expecting. Then again sitting in a tub of glitter water doesn't really sound that fun as a 27 year old woman. Ok, maybe it does sound like a ton of fun (COME'ON....GLITTER!!). Still no signs of my baby dragons though.
Moral of the story, don't let a sub par bath tub stop you from taking a wonderful bath. Bath bombs will have to be added to my Sunday Spa Day routine! Do you have a favorite bath bomb or bath add in that you love?
