Avocado Cream Sauce
Did you know avocado is a fruit?! I learned that a while ago and it blew my mind! Now, on to the tasty part of this blog. This sauce is great for just about anything you would put avocado on. I made it for taco night, but we ended up using it days after on everything from breakfast to dinner!
You will need:
- 1 whole avocado
- 1/4-1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbs lime juice
- 1 clove of garlic (or 1 tsp powered garlic)
Now, keep in mind, that these ingredients are really suggestions. If you like more or less of anything, go with your gut and follow your taste buds! That is pretty much how I cook anyway...
Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit and scoop into a food processor or a large bowl. (If you use a bowl, keep in mind the sauce will not be as smooth)
Toss in the rest of the ingredients (dice the garlic clove first if you aren't using a food processor)
Blend until smooth, or use a fork to mash the avocado and mix together
Adjust and add more of anything you like! It's just SO GOOD on everything!
