It's been all summer and I haven't made sangria?!
Alex was bringing home fresh crab, so I figured it was time to bust out some sangria!
You will need:
- Large pitcher
- 1 bottle of Sauvignon Blanc
- 1 cup strawberries, quartered
- 1 cup watermelon, cubed
- 1 banana, sliced
- 1 large bunch mint
- 1/2 cup rum
- 1/2 cup triple sec
- 2 cups Sprite or Ginger ale
- A good dollop/squeeze of agave
Slice and dice all your fruit and combine all ingredients in the large pitcher.
Stir, and put in the fridge for at least an hour, preferably overnight. The longer you let it sit, the more the flavors meld together.
Pour over ice, garnish with more mint or fruit if you like and you have a lovely summer beverage!
Eat the fruit! The best part about sangria is that it's a drink that comes with a snack!
