Gluten Free Crackers!


I love to snack, and crackers and dips are one of my favorite. BUT most crackers have gluten in them, and the gluten free crackers at the store can get expensive. So I decided to make my own. These are gluten free and vegan!

You will need:

  • 2 cups gluten free flour (I used King Arthur All Purpose Gluten Free)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tsp seasoning (optional, but try garlic, red pepper, or Italian)
  •  1 tsp sea salt
  • 2/3 cups warm water
  • 1/3 cup olive oil

Pre heat oven to 400, grease 2 baking sheets or lay down a silicone baking sheets.

Mix together the flour, baking powder, seasonings and salt.

In a separate bowl pour warm water and oil and whisk together, add to the flour mixture.

Stir together until a soft dough forms.

Separate into two balls, one for each baking sheet. Flatten the dough out as thin as you can get it. It will be sticky, so if you want to use a rolling pin, I suggest layering it between cling wrap or a flexible cutting board.

Once you have it flat and nice, use a pizza cutter to cut into squares, put it in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, until they are brown and crispy. For best results turn the trays around half way through baking.

Baked gluten free crackers

Once done, remove from oven and let cool before breaking up the pieces into the individual crackers. Try dipping them in hummus, or any of your other favorite dips!
